For this interim I created four posters that focused on the discrimination of Maori and their culture. it would have been better to narrow down this topic even more before the interim as i still haven’t boiled down my final aim so that therefore meant that it was hard to identify the different concepts as they where all had different aims.
The two most popular posters that people liked where the ‘get out of jail free card’ poster and the ‘don’t build over our culture poster’.
The feedback i got was helpful as my group helped me identify improvements that i could make to my jail poster to make the design stronger.
I also got feedback from my lecturer she thought that the ‘don’t build over our culture’ idea was the strongest and suggested that i looked into either layering or building for my final concept.
Overall this day was helpful by giving me ideas of where to take my work. and was also a reminder that i need to keep pushing myself to create interesting posters that have a lot of depth and evoke emotion. From this point i need to do more research so I can be sure of what concept i want to do.
